Somewhere out there, there’s a Tofu Terrorist planning to commit a crime and plotting to strip you of your right to hunt, fish, trap and enjoy a taste orgy of nutrient-packed protein. How do we know this? They are now telling the meatless minions where the best place is to be in jail.
The Huffington Post recently published an article that revealed exactly what all Tofu Terrorists need to know. It says...”if you are vegan and arrested in San Francisco, you can rest easy knowing that vegan meals will be provided.” Hmmm...San Francisco...why doesn’t that surprise me?
California law requires that vegetarian or kosher meals are served to those that observe diets for religious reasons. This brings me to the bigger point...the Tofu Terrorists are elevating their dietary choice to that of a religion. It’s very subtle, but it’s consistent and it’s insidious because little by little they work it into the dialogue, they slip it into regulatory language....and no one ever confronts them on it.
Here’s another example...
In 2003, three inmates at Rikers Island Prison in New York, sued over the prison’s menu. In their lawsuit they said they had received repeated denials for vegan meals and they were being prevented from “practicing their sincerely held ethical, moral, and religious beliefs, thereby causing severe and continuing physical, psychological, and emotional harm."
The prisoners ultimately lost their lawsuit, but not because of the reasons you might think. They lost because the judge ruled the prisoners failed to show irreparable harm. The fact that being a vegan is not a religion was never questioned.
Isn’t it interesting how the progressives embrace religion when its vegan, but the rest of us can’t include ‘Under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance?
